player. 135. . SP. Houston Astros. Dallas Keuchel. 8

At one point, I was considering Felix Hernandez for this spot. However, I had a tough time overlooking the impressive numbers that Houston Astros‘ ace Dallas Keuchel has been putting up.

  • Houston is sitting in first place in the AL West by three games, and guys like Keuchel can be thanked for the success.

Keuchel is shutting opponents down more than anyone on the team, posting a 2.03 ERA with a 10-3 record and 102 strikeouts. He has also recorded three complete games, two shutouts and a 0.96 WHIP — one of the top marks in baseball.

Until mid-June, Keuchel’s ERA had been below 2.00, and expect that to happen again soon as the Astros’ star hasn’t allowed an earned run since June 20.
