Turbo Lineup

Players from the four games starting at 8:05 or 8:10 PM ET

SP-Shelby Miller-Atlanta Braves: Miller is the best pitcher in the turbo window by a pretty wide margin which makes him worth starting even though he is pitching on the road and at Coors Field. Miller has allowed one or zero earned runs in three of his last four starts and has 18 strikeouts in his last two starts combined.  He has the most upside of any of the arms on this limited list, so take the risk of Coors to get the potential ace-like outing from Miller

SP-Ian Kennedy-San Diego Padres: Kennedy had been solid since a shaky start and has allowed more than two earned runs only twice in his last seven starts.  He has last three straight starts despite his strong outings, and he’ll look to turn that trend around tonight in Arlington. It speaks to how thin the pitching pool is in the turbo window that Kennedy is the second-best selection.

C-Salvador Perez-Kansas City Royals: Perez has struggled early this month, but he has hit safely in five straight games including a home run yesterday against the Rays. Hopefully, he’s starting to get his offensive game in gear.

1B-Kendrys Morales-Kansas City Royals: Morales has had no problem starting this month and went an impressive 6-15 in the four game series against the Rays.  Morales had five RBI against Tampa Bay and will look to continue hitting against Toronto tonight.

2B-Ian Kinsler-Detroit Tigers: Kinsler has crushed Ervin Santata in his career going 20-57 (.351) with six doubles, a triple, and a home run. He’s hitting .306 this month and connected on his first homer of the month in yesterday’s series opener.

3B-Josh Donaldson-Toronto Blue Jays: Donaldson was the leading vote-getter in the AL for a reason. He’s having a great season and if you can afford him he’s always a good 3B option.

SS-Jose Reyes-Toronto Blue Jays

OF-Lorenzo Cain-Kansas City Royals: Cain has been dealing with a hamstring issue, but he has continued to hit starting this month 12-25 with three doubles and a pair of home runs. He was ejected from yesterday’s game for arguing balls and strikes.

OF-Yoenis Cespedes-Detroit Tigers: Cespedes doubled in a run last night and has hit safely in even straight games. He is 7-16 (.438) with four doubles and a home run at Target Field this season

OF-Cameron Maybin-OF-Atlanta Braves: Maybin is overpriced, but it’s hard to argue his production as he comes in 14-36 (.389) for the month riding a nine-game hitting streak.  Taking on the Rockies in Denver, Maybin could be the top OF on the board in the turbo window.
