It’s time to start the weekend right with a big night of daily fantasy baseball as Major League Baseball heads into the final series before the All Star break which starts on Monday.  Before that though, there are some nice series this weekend featuring some regional rivalries, some important division series, and a full slate of 15 games for fantasy baseball players today.  Check out my DraftKings fantasy baseball picks for the full evening, the “turbo” slot at 8:00, and the late-night action right here in this post.

More from Fantasy Baseball

While these same picks could be used on any of the many sites that offer daily fantasy baseball, the salary structure and roster structure is based on DraftKings.  If you choose to play on FanDuel, Draftster, FantasyAces, or the new Yahoo daily fantasy site, my lineups would be similar with maybe some minor adjustments based on player pricing and scoring differences.

If you have a question about your DFS or season-long baseball team, you can find me @FansidedFantasy on Twitter throughout the day.  I’ll also keep you up to date if I have to adjust my lineups below as lineups come out later today and weather threatens to impact the schedule. If you are looking for more of our fantasy baseball coverage, make sure to drop a bookmark on our fantasy baseball hub.

Let’s get right to my DraftKings fantasy baseball picks for a busy Friday night starting with my main lineup including all 14 games starting at 7:00 PM ET or later. I’ve also included a quick stat worth knowing for each player in my lineup.

Tonight’s Lineup

SP-Madison Bumgarner-San Francisco Giants: Even coming off a bad start his last time out, MadBum against the Phillies at home in AT&T Park is too good a matchup to pass on.  Bumgarner is 3-2 this season at home with a 2.49 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 61.1 innings. He’s a pricey play tonight, to be sure, but I think he’s worth it given the matchup and the situation.

SP-Noah Syndergaard-New York Mets: Syndergaard and the Mets are at home tonight against Arizona.  In three of his last four outings, Syndergaard has allowed just one run and he is usually reliable for a solid strikeout total as well.  Not surprisingly, he has pitched well at Citi Field going 3-1 with a 1.89 ERA and 29 K’s in 33.1 innings.  The D-Backs lineup is iffy, so look for Syndergaard to put up a good total tonight.

C-Matt Wieters-Baltimore Orioles: Wieters has a great history against Gio Gonzalez (discussed here) going 8-14 against the Nats starter.  He has struggled a bit to start the month, but he’s an affordable option and should be well rested after a day off Wednesday and the off-day the O’s had yesterday.

1B-Joe Mauer-Minnesota Twins: Mauer is extremely affordable as well as he and the Twins face Justin Verlander and the Tigers. Mauer is 24-65 (.369) against Tigers’ starter Justin Verlander in his career with three homers and ten RBI. He’s also off to a hot start in July going 13-34 (.382) with a pair of homers.

2B-Dee Gordon-Miami Marlins: Gordon went 2-3 last night with three stolen bases in the Marlins 2-0 win over the Reds. He is hitting .348 at home this season and is 3-10 in his career against Reds’ starter Mike Leake.

3B-Xander Bogaerts-Boston Red Sox: Bogaerts is 13-30 (.433) to start the month of July and already has turned into a bit of a Yankee killer.  He also is 2-4 in his career against Michael Pineda who starts tonight for New York.

SS-Jose Reyes-Toronto Blue Jays: Reyes rested while the Blue Jays were shut out yesterday afternoon in Chicago. Expect him to be back atop the lineup today as they face Danny Duffy and the Royals in KC tonight.

OF-Billy Hamilton-Cincinnati Reds: Hamilton and the Reds couldn’t get anything going against Jose Fernandez last night but will face David Phelps tonight in Miami.  Hamilton has gone 0-4 against Phelps in the past but is a better hitter with more power when taking on lefties, so he’s a gamble that could pay off tonight.

OF-Gregor Blanco-San Francisco Giants: Blanco is extremely cheap for a leadoff outfielder and he has gone 6-17 (.353) against Cole Hamels in his career.  Blanco is a lefty-lefty matchup for Hamels, but so far in his career it hasn’t been a bad situation for Blanco at all.

OF-Gerardo Parra-Milwaukee Brewers: Another leadoff hitter I like for tonight is the Brewers Gerardo Parra as I load up on speed.  Parra is 14-31 (.452) this month with three homers.
