Bonus: Adrian Gonzalez-1B-Los Angeles Dodgers: Before we get to our official top ten, one quick note on Adrian Gonzalez as the Dodgers and Zack Greinke take on Jacob deGrom and the Mets in one of the most exciting games of the afternoon. Gonzalez is 3-6 (.500) in his career against deGrom which is too small of a sample size to make the top ten, but his history is well worth noting especially due to his two homers and five RBI in those past meetings.

10. Aaron Hill-3B-Arizona Diamondbacks: The D-Backs host Matt Garza and the Brewers today as they close out their four-game series against Milwaukee. Garza has struggled in the past against Aaron Hill who is 14-39 (.359) against Garza with two doubles while driving in six runs.

9. Alex Rios-OF-Kansas City Royals: Rios and the Royals take on the upstart Astros this afternoon at Kauffman Stadium as they face All-Star Kallas Keuchel. While many of the Royals make risky plays as a result, Alex Rios has enough history against Keuchel that he’s a solid sleeper option. Rios is 8-23 (.348) in his career against the Astros’ ace with four doubles and four RBI.

8. Franklin Gutierrez-OF-Seattle Mariners: The Mariners and Blue Jays have split the first two games in their series and in the rubber game this afternoon they’ll face Mark Buehrle. Franklin Gutierrez is one of two Mariners’ hitters with a good enough track record to make this list based on going 8-22 (.364) against him in the past with a double, two homers, and nine RBI.
