Bill Hader’s character in ‘Trainwreck’ gets a shot to fall against LeBron James and reacts appropriately.

LeBron James’ accomplishments and ability in the NBA can be debated for days on end with no real conclusion being reached. Regardless of opinions about LeBron, his place as a once-in-a-generation talent who has always and will continue to catch the eyes of basketball fans is not up for discussion.

Given James’ acumen and skills, actor Bill Hader now has endless bragging rights. In a scene from Hader’s latest movie Trainwreck, the actor plays one-on-one with LeBron. Hader pulls up from the elbow and puts one down the bottom of the net and reacts like any normal person would:

There’s so much comedy in such a short moment to love. The question of “did you let me do that?” and then not waiting for an answer is great. However, nothing beats Hader walking back into the empty gym to taunt LeBron by throwing up the chalk.

Yeah, this scene was staged and LeBron certainly playing defense like it was game seven of a playoff series. Even so, Hader now has a story that everyone who’s an actor, fan, or human being has to be envious of. Imagine being able to tell your friends, “I knocked down a jumper in LeBron’s eye and got to talk smack afterwards.” I don’t care if it’s staged or not, that’s the dream.
