Mason Plumlee went on Highly Questionable and told an interesting story about Kevin Garnett hazing rookies.

Kevin Garnett is the center of many NBA legends, mainly centered around his intensity. As he rides out the final years of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, his former teammate Mason Plumlee with the Brooklyn Nets, joined Dan Le Batard’s show Highly Questionable, and was immediately asked for some stories.

Plumlee seemed reluctant to give what Le Batard called a “Kevin Garnett is crazy” story, but concedes that he is crazy… in a good way. The first story was relatively mild as far as rookie hazing goes, but it was still hilarious to imagine. Because the rookies forgot a boombox, Garnett made them get off the plane and run plays on the tarmac sans ball and hoops.

The second story is a bit more interesting and crazy. Plumlee got on the plane early and when asked by a stewardess, ordered a crab cake. Garnett took exception to the rookie ordering before the veterans and Garnett took it right off his plate and gave it to another player.

The best line: “I was the only player on my team under 25.” Why did those Nets teams not live up to expectations again?
