Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Karl-Anthony Towns crammed his near seven-foot frame into a phone booth on The Tonight Show

Karl-Anthony Towns was the number one overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, heading to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Yes, the 19-year-old is incredibly skilled considering his age, but it’d be foolish to say that his size at 6’11”, 250 pounds didn’t have a great deal to do with where the Wolves took him in the draft.

However, that kind of size isn’t always a blessing. For instance, if Towns wanted to squeeze into a phone booth with a host of celebrities on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, things could get quite uncomfortable. Don’t believe me? See how things turned out when Towns had to squeeze into a phone booth with Kevin Spacey and Keegan-Michael Key:

At the peak capacity of Spacey’s phone booth, it was Towns, Spacey, Key, Mae Whitman, and American Pharoah jockey Victor Espinoza.

Not wanting the host to feel left out, Towns eventually ended up in Fallon’s booth along with Hashtag the Panda at the end of the game.

It seems that Towns is having a good time with his start in the NBA and venture into fame. However, I think the lesson here is pretty clear: a phone booth’s capacity is really just one Karl-Anthony Towns and no one else.
