Former New York Jets running back Thomas Jones isn’t impressed with Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s stance on the Black Lives Matter movement.
On Monday’s edition of Fox and Friends, co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck took a very controversial stance, suggesting that the Black Lives Matter movement should be classified as a hate group. As one would guess it, the stance didn’t make her many friends in the viewing audience and on social media.
Among that group; former New York Jets running back Thomas Jones.
During the broadcast, Hasselbeck and guest Kevin Jackson were discussing protests in St. Paul where chants of “Fry ’em like bacon! Pigs in a blanket!” were heard and local police took it as a call to attack police. That led to Hasselbeck asking the now infamous question to her guest, according to the New York Daily News.
"“Kevin, why has the Black Lives Matter movement not been classified as a hate group? How much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?”"
Jones, who has taken to acting and running start-up companies CASTAR Applications and IME, joined the chorus of those speaking out against Hasselbeck . He took to Twitter to not only rail on the former View hostess, but also on her retired NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck .
Elizabeth Hasselbeck is almost as s****y of a journalist as her husband was as a quarterback. Guess that's why their married. #ONMYBULLS**T

Her words obviously drew the ire of many across all races. Rosie O’Donnell, a former co-host on The View, also attacked Hasselbeck via Twitter.
Hasselbeck asked, “Kevin, why has the Black Lives Matter movement not been classified yet as a hate group? ..." some r slow 2 wake

The outrage forced Hasselbeck to respond accordingly via Twitter, not in an apology, but with a justification.
My question was NOT my opinion it was for my guest & was @ the St Paul group (NOT entire BLM) calling for cops to be "fried like bacon".

Fox News hasn’t had the most sterling reputation and often likes to stir the pot when it comes to it viewing audience. In this case, Hasselbeck clearly didn’t fully think out her approach to the subject nor how it would impact those seeing the broadcast. There is no doubt that there will be continued reminders of her poor choice in this matter as the days go by.
