The original “Dirty Bird” Jamal Anderson performed the Dirty Bird dance on Monday Night Football
Jamal Anderson is a legend for the Atlanta Falcons. Part of his legend is his presence during the glory days of the Falcons in the late 90s and early 2000s as their leading rusher. Part of his legend is his All-Pro selection during the 1998 season with the Falcons. However, the majority of that legend can be boiled down to the fact that Anderson was the “Dirty Bird,” creator and curator of the Dirty Bird celebration.
As the Falcons kicked off Monday Night Football in Week One against the Philadelphia Eagles, Anderson was in attendance at the Georgia Dome. For old time’s sake, Anderson busted out his patented celebration on the field:
The Dirty Bird himself (@jamthedirtybird) does ... The Dirty Bird. https://t.co/iduV8ZSblK

I’m not sure that he could rush for 1,846 yards and 14 touchdowns like he did during his All-Pro ’98 season, but Anderson definitely still has the moves down.
Much like seeing Icky Woods do the Icky Shuffle in commercials, it’s always a good time seeing former players bring back their famous dance moves. The only thing that could’ve made Anderson’s effort any better is if he too was getting some cold cuts and chose the Dirty Bird to celebrate the occasion.
