Tight End Sleepers Week 1

Zach Ertz-Philadelphia Eagles (FD-5,200, DK-3,600): Ertz wasn’t sure he was going to be able to play week 1, but he ended up playing quite a bit and finishing with eight targets in Sam Bradford’s first game as QB of the Eagles.  He caught three passes for 46 yards, but he should be able to improve on that number this week against the Cowboys especially after getting another week for recovery and practice with Bradford.

Kyle Rudolph-Minnesota Vikings (FD-5,100, DK-3,300): The Lions defense allowed a TE touchdown while allowing Philip Rivers to throw for over 400 yards.  Rudolph was tied for the team lead in targets in Minnesota’s week 1 loss to the 49ers and he finished with five catches for 53 yards.  He should be a good play this week as long as he remains so involved in the Vikings’ attack.

Scott Chandler-New England Patriots (FD-4,900, DK, 2,600): If you’re going cheap at the tight end spot, Chandler is worth a look as a flier as he takes on his former team when the Patriots visit the Bills.  Chandler was only targeted once in the Patriots week 1 win converting his one catch to a one-yard TD. He played 25 snaps for New England and will be a hit-and-miss fantasy producer throughout the season.

Week 1 Picks: Delanie Walker, Larry Donnell, Jordan Reed
