7. Jay Bruce-OF-Cincinnati Reds: The Reds and Cardinals are meeting this week at Busch Stadium and they’ll wrap up their season series tonight as the Cardinals also go for their fourth straight win.  St. Louis will send Lance Lynn to the mound which is a matchup that appears to be set up well for Jay Bruce.  Bruce is 14-31 (.452) in his career against Lynn with a double, two triples, three homers, and 11 RBI.

6. Andrelton Simmons-SS-Atlanta Braves: Joining his teammate Freddie Freeman on this list, Simmons comes into tonight 11-20 (.550)against Mets’ starter Bartolo Colon.  He has two doubles, a triple, and five  RBI as well in their past meetings.

5. Jose Abreu-1B-Chicago White Sox: In one of the two afternoon games on the schedule for today, the White Sox and Tigers wrap up their series at Comerica Park. Jose Abreu should be primed to produce as he faced Justin Verlander who he has lit up in the past going 8-16 (.500) with a double, a pair of home runs, and two RBI.

4. Buster Posey-C-San Francisco Giants: San Francisco still has a glimmer of playoff hope, but they’ll need a lot of things to go their way.  Tonight, they take on the Padres and Andrew Cashner which looks like a great day to go with Posey behind the plate.  Posey is 11-22 (.500) with a double, a pair of home runs, and five RBI in his career against Cashner.
