5. Dallas Cowboys

It almost feels unfair to say that the Dallas Cowboys are on upset alert given all of the injuries that they’re currently enduring right now, but they are up against a winless New Orleans Saints team on Sunday Night Football in Week 4. Subsequently, it would still feel like an upset even if Tony Romo and Dez Bryant are out of action for Dallas.

The biggest factor in this game is that we don’t know yet if Saints quarterback Drew Brees is going to play after missing Week 3. Obviously Brees playing would be another thing in New Orleans’ favor, but their offense still has looked pretty dismal even when Brees played in the first two weeks of the season and actually looked better with Luke McCown at times last week than they have for much of the year with Brees.

No matter who plays at quarterback, though, I don’t see the Cowboys being able to put up the kind of fight that they did against Atlanta last weekend. That’s not because the Saints are a better team than the Falcons, but rather because it’s hard to have faith in Brandon Weeden playing mistake-free football for two weeks in a row. I know it’s a week upset call, but it is still a 2-1 team being beaten by an 0-3 team. No matter the circumstance, you have to call that an upset.
