4. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are one of the seven remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL. While you can’t argue with their 3-0 record because the record is all that counts, it’s also fair to say that they’ve been one of the least impressive of the 3-0 teams in the league. Even then, it should be a cakewalk as they take on rookie Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, right?

Having faith in Winston and the Bucs isn’t the smartest idea that I’ve ever had, but the injuries to the Panthers’ defense are certainly worrisome. Charles Johnson is missing on the defensive line while Luke Kuechly, Carolina’s rock on the defensive end, is set to miss his third consecutive game for the Panthers with a concussion. Say what you will about Tampa Bay and how they’ve performed thus far, they have enough talent to where you can see the potential of their team exploiting a banged up defense.

Moreover, the Panthers’ offensive line has help up relatively well to this point, but the possibility of Gerald McCoy (even if he’s banged up himself) and the Bucs defense hurrying Cam Newton and stifling the Panthers’ offense is there. Again this is all just possible, but there are the makings of an upset brewing with the Bucs potentially shocking the undefeated Panthers.
