3. Oakland Raiders

Possibly the biggest shock of the 2015 NFL season after three weeks is the amount of success that the Raiders have already enjoyed. There were expectations for them to be an improved football team this season, but sitting above .500 at any point wasn’t something that anyone was really calling for. Yet here they are with what seems like a winnable matchup against an ailing Chicago Bears team.

It’s going to be tough for the Bears, there’s no doubt. Their defense wasn’t good to begin with, but after some trades this past week they are even more short-handed on that side of the ball. Moreover, there’s a chance that Chicago will once again be starting Jimmy Clausen at quarterback while Jay Cutler tries to recover from a hamstring injury suffered in Week 2. Clausen starting is not a good thing if you’re the Bears.

All of that being said, the Bears still have Matt Forte and the Raiders seem to have played above their heads to this point in the season. It’s fun having Oakland be a quality team, especially because it’s something that the league hasn’t seen in quite a while. However, they’re still an incredibly young team and this seems like the type of game where they might let up or stumble and give the Bears their first win of the season.
