Fantasy football week 4 recap: Studs, duds, and sleepers
RB Duds
Arian Foster-Houston Texans: In his first game back, Foster had a great matchup against the Falcons, but he struggled with only ten yards on eight carries and 25 yards on three catches. Owners can chalk this one up to rust and hope he gets back to normal Foster-strength next week against the Colts.
Carlos Hyde-San Francisco 49ers: Coming home wasn’t the cure for what was wrong with Carlos Hyde. The 49ers running back wasn’t able to rekindle his week 1 magic and ran for just 20 yards on eight carries and caught his only target for two yards.
Latavius Murray-Oakland Raiders: Murray wasn’t awful, but he definitely was a letdown against the Bears in what should have been a good matchup. He did gain 49 yards on his 16 carries and added 12 yards on three catches, but he also lost a fumble and was forced to miss some time due to injury. He returned to the game and should be ready for a bounce back game next week as the Raiders take on the Broncos back by the Bay.
Matt Jones- Washington Redskins: Jones wasn’t nearly as effective as Alfred Morris was in the Redskins win over the Eagles and he finished with only seven carries to Morris’s 17. Jones only managed 11 yards on his seven carries finishing with a second straight disappointing week since his monster game against the Rams.
Ryan Mathews-Philadlephia Eagles: Mathews ran for 20 yards on his five carries, but even laster last week’s big game took a backseat to DeMarco Murray in the Eagles attack. He definitely didn’t help his cause by losing a fumble as well.
