QB Sleepers

Josh McCown-Cleveland Browns: McCown continues to put up absolutely crazy numbers for the Browns and this time it actually translated into a Cleveland win.  He led them back multiple times against the Ravens attempting a league-high 51 passes and completing 36.  He finished with 457 yards and a pair of passing touchdowns while adding a score on the ground as part of three rushes for 12 yards.  He has multiple passing touchdowns and over 340 yards in all three games he has been able to start and finish for Cleveland this year.  However, he’ll face some stiff competition ahead as the Browns take on Denver, St. Louis, and Arizona in the next three weeks. Right now, though, there isn’t a quarterback who is statistically hotter than McCown.

Blake Bortles-Jacksonville Jaguars: Bortles had an odd day in the Jags’ loss to the Bucs in the battle of young Florida teams.  He threw for four touchdowns and 303 yards while adding 21 yards on the ground, but his one turnover set up an important Tampa touchdown while his six sacks put the Jags’ behind the sticks far too often.  Bortles’ final numbers were good, but this was a tough loss for Jacksonville to take.

Tyrod Taylor-Buffalo Bills: Taylor and the Bills struggled much of the day against the Titans with limited weapons and almost no running game.  However, Taylor did just enough running for a score and throwing a touchdown to get his team a 14-13 win.  He finished with only 109 yards passing, but his 76 yards rushing and even a four-yard reception helped him turn in another productive fantasy sleeper day.

Brian Hoyer-Houston Texans: Back on Thursday night, don’t forget how solid Brian Hoyer looked as he earned back the starting roel in Houston.  Hoyer threw an ugly interception that virtually ended the Texans chance at upsetting Indy, but he finished with 312 yards and two touchdowns as well.  He did enough to earn the start this week and is actually worth considering as the Texans face Jacksonville.
