28. The Oakland Raiders have invested heavily on the defensive side of the ball in recent years, drafting players like line backer Khalil Mack. You’ve already got a quarterback for the future, a star wide receiver primed to break out and running backs can be taken in the mid-rounds. Why not add another defensive stalwart like Ohio State safety Vonn Bell?
Right now the Raiders have Larry Asante and the ageless Charles Woodson at free safety. Who knows if this is going to be Woodson’s final season and how much longer he will continue to play and Vonn Bell slots right in to replace him for the foreseeable future.

Bell has decent size at a shady under six-foot and coming in at about 200 pounds. But bell is a good cover safety first and foremost, but also a player maker, solid tackler and a hard hitter. A hard hitting safety could be what the Raiders defense needs on the backside of things to round out their defense.

The one downside to Bell is his speed, he looks like he’ll get about a 4.5 of 4.6 in the 40-yard dash, which isn’t spectacular but isn’t horrendous at the same time.
.
