2016 NFL Mock Draft: Week 6 edition

WR. Pittsburgh. Tyler Boyd. 27. player. 32. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald have shown flashes of his old best wide receiver in the league self this season, but it is clear the Cardinals need to look towards the future with his replacement. The Cardinals have other needs they could look to address late in the first round, but with Pittsburgh wide receiver Tyler Boyd slipping this low, they have to jump at the chance to take him. <p>Boyd is a tall wide receiver at 6’2″ who could still benefit from adding some size to his frame, but he is a prospect projected to go in the top half of the draft who looks like he could be slipping out of the first round.</p> <p>While Boyd might not have the body to be the physical receiver say Dez Bryant is, Boyd has the speed to make himself a vertical threat that can burn defenses down the field. If the Cardinals wanted to, they could also use Boyd and his speed in the return game as he tears down field.</p> <p>And despite his lack of size, Boyd has good hands and can make the tough catches, particularly if it requires him to elevate and win jump balls. Those are skills that could come in handy as Carson Palmer ages and eventually a new quarterback comes in to replace him.</p>
