30. player. 56.
The Cincinnati Bengals look to be a well-rounded and damn near flawless team through the first five weeks of the season, going undefeated over that stretch. Identifying a need for the Bengals is a bit like nit-picking, but we like the Bengals to select Michigan State defensive end Shilique Calhoun late in the first round.

Right now the Bengals have a solid secondary headlined by cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick and emerging safety George Iloka. Their linebacking corp is set.

Address the defensive line, and we’re still nitpicking. Calhoun offers good value for the Bengals here and could’ve come out last year if he wanted to.

The 6’5″ and 252 pound defensive end lines up mostly on the left side, and would usurp Carlos Dunlap across from Michael Johnson. Dunlap is off to a better start than Johnson this season, which means the Bengals defense would have to shift one or the other to the opposite side.

Given Dunlap’s success on the left side, moving Calhoun to the right side might be the way the Bengals go. Calhoun is quick and uses his speed to generate power as he takes on the edge, and will help contain the quarterback for Dunlap and stud defensive tackle Geno Atkins.
. DE. Michigan State.
