NFC. South. Atlanta Falcons. 6. player. 44.
Record: 5-0

Signature Win: 24-20 at New York Giants

Verdict: Temporarily Selling

The Atlanta Falcons are a very good football team. Matt Ryan is a high-grade quarterback, Julio Jones is a Top 5 wide receiver and Dan Quinn has both the running game and the defense looking postseason-caliber.

It’s simply impossible to ignore the Falcons’ strength of schedule.

Four of Atlanta’s five games have been played against the lowly NFC East. Three of those four games were decided by one possession, and it wasn’t until the fourth quarter that the Falcons went up on the Dallas Cowboys—without Tony Romo.

A 48-21 demolition of the Houston Texans was encouraging, but Atlanta has played just one team with a winning record.

Defeating the New York Giants 24-20 is promising for the Falcons, especially since New York has rebounded with three straight wins. Atlanta’s next four opponents are the New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers—all teams below .500.

The Falcons may not have a real test—or a loss—until they face the Indianapolis Colts on November 22.
