NFL: 8 players who would benefit from a change in scenery
2. Anquan Boldin (WR, San Francisco 49ers)
Anquan Boldin finally broke through in 2015 against the New York Giants; he registered 8 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. The game was set up as a matchup between the league’s worst passing defense and the worst passing offense, and the offense prevailed (even though the Giants eventually won 30-27).
In the lone game, Boldin nearly doubled his receiving stats. He entered the game with 15 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown, and had cracked more than 50 yards only once.
Throughout the season, Boldin has been the occasional target of unfortunate Colin Kaepernick passes that either bounce at Boldin’s feet or sail above his head out of bounds. Boldin left the Baltimore Ravens for the 49ers to be a part of a fluid offense as his career came to a close; now, he is stuck in limbo.

The Cardinals don’t need Boldin right now, but I need the Cardinals to want him. This is exclusively for fun.
Reuniting old teammates Boldin and Fitzgerald would be particularly sweet considering that they would have a competent quarterback. Beyond Kurt Warner, the Boldin-Fitzgerald Cardinals had to endure some of the most lackluster groups of signal-callers in the NFL, and now with a legitimately dangerous
Following the 2009 team was a wonderful experience, but everything about that run seemed improbable. At this stage, this season might be the Cardinals best chance to win a Super Bowl since that year – in fact, it might be a better opportunity.
