QB Studs

Matthew Stafford-Detroit Lions: The Lions QB had lived on our “duds” list early in the season, but he came back in a big way getting the Lions  passing game going against a horrible Bears secondary. He threw for 405 yards on 27/42 passing while throwing for four touchdowns.  He did throw a pick, but he also added 37 yards on the ground and helped the Lions get an ugly overtime win over Chicago.

Philip Rivers-San Diego Chargers: Rivers only threw for two touchdowns which is how he scored fewer points than Stafford, but he became just the 16th QB to throw for 500 yards finishing 43/65 for 503 yards and his two touchdowns.

Tom Brady-New England Patriots: Brady may not have run up the score against the Colts as some expected, but he still threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns. He has at least 275 yards and multiple touchdowns in every game he has played this season.

Colin Kaepernick-San Francisco 49ers: Kaep had a big game against the Ravens as he continued his Jekyll/Hyde season throwing for 340 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  He only added ten yards on the ground, but his owners will definitely take his passing performance after a few down weeks.

Andy Dalton-Cincinnati Bengals: Dalton came through for the Bengals after a slow start in Buffalo. He finished with 243 yards on 22/33 passing while throwing for three scores in Cincinnati’s 34-21 road win.

Jay Cutler-Chicago Bears: Cutler threw for 353 yards in the Bears OT loss as he celebrated having his entire receiving corps available. He only threw one touchdown and one interception, but he showed he can produce when he has all his weapons.

Cam Newton-Carolina Panthers: The Panthers got a big win on the road in Seattle, and Cam led them on the winning drive as time wound down.  He threw a TD pass to Greg Olsen

Carson Palmer-Arizona Cardinals: In Pittsburgh against the Steelers, Carson Palmer owners will be disappointed that he only threw one touchdown to go with his two interceptions.  On the bright side though, his 421 yards were solid enough to keep most of his owners on the right side of the scoresheet this week.
