Alfred Blue-RB-Houston Texans (18.8%)

Another running back who will get plenty of attention this week on waiver wires is Alfred Blue who looks likely to be back in a starting role after Arian Foster’s injury. Blue has been dealing with a toe injury, but he was available on Sunday and ran three times for eight yards.

His workload will definitely see a huge bump now that Foster is out for the year with a torn Achilles’. Blue had a monster game in week three taking 31 carries for 139 yards and a touchdown against the Bucs, but when Foster returned he was relegated to change-of-pace duties. He’ll probably get the bulk of the work going forward with Chris Polk serving as a passing-down specialist.

Blue gets a week to lay claim to the job before Houston’s week 9 bye.  This week, Houston hosts the Titans as they look to bounce back from a brutal beatdown at the hands of Miami last week.  The Texans have made a habit of falling behind early and playing catchup with plenty of passing, but Blue has shown he can be productive in a starting role in the past, so add him if you need a starting RB going forward.
