QB Sleepers

Derek Carr-Oakland Raiders: Carr continued his breakout season throwing for four touchdowns against the vaunted Jets defense.  He completed 23 of his 36 passes and finished with 333 yards passing.  At his point he’s a matchup-proof QB2 and a fringe QB1 that can be a solid play if you need a fill-in.  If you’re in a 12-team league, Carr can definitely be a starter in most weeks as he showed in what many thought was a  “stay away” matchup.

Alex Smith-Kansas City Chiefs: Smith and the Chiefs had a big game early on Sunday scoring 45 points in their win over the hapless Lions in London.  Smith threw for 145 yards and two touchdowns and added 78 yards and a rushing touchdown as well.

Joe Flacco-Baltimore Ravens: Flacco ran for a touchdown and threw for a second finishing with 319 yards in the Ravens win against the Chargers.  He lost Steve Smith for the season which leaves him with very few weapons, but he made it work for at least this week.

Jay Cutler-Chicago Bears: Like Flacco, Cutler threw for a touchdown and ran for a score, but unlike Flacco he couldn’t help his team get the win.  In fact, the Bears were beaten by a last second field goal despite Cutlers 211 yards passing and 11 yards rushing to go with his two scores.
