QB Duds

Aaron Rodgers-Green Bay Packers: While some people thought Rodgers would have a  bad game, I’m not sure anyone saw this stinker coming. Rodgers managed fewer yards passing than any other starting QB who was able to finish the game.  His 77 yards on 14/22 passing wasn’t enough to catch Matt Cassel (97) or Zach Mettenberger (171).  He didn’t throw a touchdown an interception, and his 31 yards rushing was a small consolation to his disappointed owners.

Ben Roethlisberger-Pittsburgh Steelers: There was more than just the uniforms for Steeler fans to cringe at on Sunday as Big Ben came back and struggled against the Bengals.  While he did throw for a solid 262 yards and a touchdown, he turned the ball over three times and showed some rust with the placement of this throws.  He needs to be better moving forward if the Steelers are going to make a playoff push, but remember that he wasn’t originally expected back for this weeks’ game and may have been pushing himself a little to much.  Look for a much better week against Oakland next week.

Ryan Tannehill-Miami Dolphins: Back on Thursday night, Tannehill struggled badly in New England. He did threw for 300 yards but didn’t have a touchdown and threw two interceptions.

Matthew Stafford-Detroit Lions: Stafford and the Lions didn’t look any better after the coaching shuffle as they fell hard to the Chiefs in London.  Stafford threw for 217 yards and one touchdown but also threw two interceptions and didn’t lead a scoring drive until the game was definitely decided.

Colin Kaepernick-San Francisco 49ers: Kaepernick continues to live on the dud list this season after a rough game in St. Louis.  It’s hard at this point to tell how much is his fault and how much of the issue is a lack of playmakers in the offense, but his fantasy numbers continue to be abysmal.  This week he completed just 20 of 41 passes for 162 yards.  He managed 28 yards rushing which helped his week not be a total bust, but he failed to get into the end zone for the second straight week.
