Miami Dolphins D/ST (37.3%)

If you need a defense, Miami’s is the top one to target heading into week 9 now that they’ve found an identity under Dan Campbell.  Miami’s D was expected to be one of the best in the League coming into the season, but they had struggled through the first four weeks of the season before a beatdown in London cost coach Joe Philbin his job.  When Campbell took over, the D was absolutely dominant for two weeks against weak offenses before heading to New England in week 8.  The Patriots piled up 36 points and didn’t turn the ball over leaving Miami in negative points in ESPN standard scoring.

The loss was even more costly for the Dolphins since Cameron Wake was injured and lost for the season.  Even without Wake, though, the Miami D has plenty of weapons with Ndamukong Suh leading a tough front seven.  It’s also important to remember that you get Jarvis Landry as an electric punt return option with this D/ST pickup.

The schedule eases up for the Dolphins in the coming weeks as Miami faces another AFC East foe on the road as they travel to Buffalo.  After the Bills, Miami plays the Eagles, Cowboys, Jets, and Ravens meaning they can be a long-term option at D as well as a one-week fill-in.
