Navy (+8.5) over No. 15 Memphis

I hope you took Navy when this line was posted at 9.5, but if you haven’t, do it quickly. The Midshipmen play a style of offense that no one is every prepared for, and while Memphis has a potent offense, Navy might run for 400 yards here. Keenan Reynolds is a stud, the Midshipmen will be ready to play, and as long as you’re getting more than a touchdown, take the candy.

No. 14 Oklahoma (-26) over Iowa State

Trusting Oklahoma is always an interesting exercise. In this spot, I’ll take the Sooners because Iowa State is coming off a big win that no one predicted, and the line should probably be 28 or more. Still, I wouldn’t advise putting any hard-earned jelly beans on Oklahoma because, well, they are Oklahoma.

No. 13 Utah (+1) over Washington

Washington’s incredible blowout win over Arizona has skewed this line, and we’ll take advantage. The Huskies are better than most anyone thought they would be, but Utah should never be getting points in this game, as the Utes are much, much better on the whole. I still believe in Kyle Whittingham’s team, and this is a spot where they “get healthy” with a comfortable win.

Vanderbilt (+21) over No. 11 Florida

Vandy’s defense is very real, and if you can get three touchdowns, the Dores are unquestionably the play. Make no mistake, Florida is going to win this game and might do it comfortably, but the Gators aren’t exactly an offensive machine. If you took the name “Vanderbilt” off the jersey in this spot, this line might be a full touchdown lower given the competence of the defense for the Commodores. If you can’t stomach a bet on Vanderbilt, just stay away.
