Malcom Floyd-San Diego Chargers

While Michael Floyd has appeared in my sleeper wide receivers leagues the last two weeks, it’s Malcom Floyd who debuts atop my list for this week.  Floyd’s salary DraftKings (3,900)  makes him an incredible value while FanDuel (6,100) has adjusted a little bit more to the increased workload most people expect to come Floyd’s way tomorrow night against the Bears.

The reason Floyd has suddenly shot up in value and been a popular pick in season-long leagues (although he is still available in over 30% of ESPN leagues) is that Keenan Allen is done for the season and the 10-year veteran out of Wyoming looks ready to become the Bolts’ top WR for the rest of the season.

Last week, Floyd hauled in a pair of touchdowns catching four passes for 92 yards. It was his second game in his last three with at least 90 yards receiving although the two good performances were sandwiched around a seven-yard dud against Oakland.  While he has been inconsistent and big-play reliant, Floyd should be ready to produce more regularly with Allen out for the year.  He is a solid play this week and can be started in almost all formats.
