Brandon LaFell-New England Patriots

The Patriots offense is constantly changing as they take advantage of opponents weaknesses and look to use whatever weapon on offense gives them the best shot of winning.  The week-to-week changing in gameplan can result in uneven fantasy performances, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t definite fantasy potential especially in the prolific passing attack led by Tom Brady.

One player who has stepped back into a big role in that attack is Brandon LaFell.  LaFell jumped right back in two weeks ago against the Jets when he was targeted eight times but was plagued by multiple drops.  Last week, LaFell improved with four catches for 47 yards on seven more targets.  While he is clearly behind Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski in the passing progressions on most plays, LaFell is already the team’s third option, and he should be even more up to full speed after the team’s longer break after their win Thursday night.

LaFell is in a great matchup against Washington’s secondary today, so he can definitely be a plug-and-play flex option if he’s available in your league (like he is in 45% of ESPN leagues). He is just 3,200 on DraftKings where he’s a great bargain play while he costs 5,200 on FanDuel which is slightly less of a bargain but still pretty solid value. If you can’t get Floyd or are playing a daily format that doesn’t include Monday Night Football, LaFell is definitely worth a look
