Kamar Aiken-Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens lost Steve Smith for the season which has opened the door for Aiken to emerge as the top receiver.  Aiken is viewed as a possession-type receiver who should draw a ton of targets from Joe Flacco the rest of the season.

Last week in the first game since Smith’s injury, Aiken was targeted 14 times against the Jaguars.  He hauled in seven of those passes for 73 yards finishing with a solid day despite not finding the end zone.  In PPR leagues, his value is obviously higher since he gets such a volume of passes thrown his way.  In the last two weeks, Aiken has 13 catches for 135 yards, and there is no one to threaten him for work at the top of the WR depth chart.

Coming in to a week 11 matchup against the Rams, Aiken is still available in almost half of ESPN leagues. If you can add him, he’s a strong flex play who has WR2 upside today even in a less-than-ideal matchup.  On DraftKings which is a PPR (point per reception) format, Aiken is extremely valuable and only costs 4,800 for this week’s matchup.  On FanDuel, Aiken costs 5,900 and is a little less valuable since it’s only a half-point per reception in their scoring format. Aiken is one of my favorite wide receiver sleepers this week, and barring injury there is very little risk of him having a total dud since the Ravens don’t have many other options to throw the ball to.
