Devin Funchess-WR-Carolina Panthers (10.8%)

The Panthers have had issues at WR ever since Kelvin Benjamin was lost for the year this preseason.  Many fantasy football players (including me) thought the Funchess could be set up to step in for Benjamin and quickly emerge as a threat even though he was a rookie this year.

Funchess was banged up early in the season, though and didn’t rise to the challenge right away. However, he’s starting to show signs of being productive lately and has been becoming more active on a regular basis.  He got his first career start this week with Corey Brown sidelined and caught four passes for 64 yards and a touchdown.  He now has two touchdown catches in his last three games in which he has totaled 176 yards on his nine catches.

Funchess is still risky, but he is definitely on the upswing and could be an exciting weapon for the unbeaten Panthers coming down the stretch.  Cam has been making it work with very few receiving options, and Funchess could be the answer from the waiver wire week 12 if your fantasy team is as desperate for production from WR as the Panthers are.
