Spencer Ware-RB-Kansas City Chiefs (0.1%)

Ware stepped in for Kansas City after Charcandrick West left with a hamstring injury and the former LSU Tiger came through with a big game in his first real action of the season.  Ware was waived earlier this season by Kansas City and added tot he 53-man roster when Jamaal Charles was injured earlier this season.

Ware has now obviously passes Knile Davis, and he could be ready for a nice workload if West is forced to miss more time.  Ware flashed his upside with 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns on his 11 carries and added five yards on his one catch.  He tore up a bad San Diego run defense, but West had struggled to get anything going even before his injury.

The Chiefs haven’t released any information about West’s status for this week, but coach Andy Reid said it was a “strain” which is usually a multi-week injury.  If West is out, Ware would be a great play against the Bills, Raiders, Chargers (again), Ravens, Browns, and Raiders (again) for as long as he can hold down the starting position. I wouldn’t pick him up over Allen or Rawls, but he’s still a nice addition from the waiver wire week 12 who can help your team in the next few weeks if he’s getting carries for the suddenly surging Chiefs.
