Previous: . san francisco 49ers. 28. team. 42.
The San Francisco 49ers got a rare win this season, beating the Chicago Bears on the road. While the Bears haven’t dominated this season, they’ve been playing well as of late and looked like the favorites to get the win on Sunday.

But the football gods had other plans. A missed 36-yard field goal from Robbie Gould at the end of the game gave the 49ers some new life. THe Bears held them to a three-and-out on their first possession of overtime, but then the 49ers defense returned the favor to get the ball back.

That is when the magic kicked in. Blaine Gabbert went deep on the first play to Torrey Smith for a 71-yard touchdown reception to win the game, Gabbert’s lone touchdown pass of the game. While you have to be excited for the win if you’re a 49ers fan, you also have to wonder if the loss would’ve been better in the race for a top draft spot.

Either way, what a throw by San Francisco and 49ers fans can be happy for a week, knowing the Cleveland Browns and another win are on the horizon in Week 14.

Unfortunately they play the Bengals after that, but the 49ers are looking at back-to-back wins for the first time all season next week.
. (4-8)
