8. Kevin Ollie

After a long successful career in the NBA, Kevin Ollie jumped into the collegiate ranks when he became the head coach of the Connecticut Huskies. Well, just as hard of a competitor as he was on the court, he became one on the sidelines, as he coached the Huskies to a national title in 2014, over the Kentucky Wildcats.

Ever since he won the championship with the Huskies, Ollie has been seen as a guy that will eventually be a head coach if he chooses, and he’s one that almost every team in need of a coach, would want to go after. The work he has done in just a short time is remarkable.

He was a smart player on the court, which helped him last in the NBA for as long as he did, and he’s an even smarter coach with a championship pedigree now.

He could be a perfect fit in Los Angeles, thanks to the amount of young talent they should have after next year’s draft.

They already have D’Angelo Russell and Julius Randle. If they add another top pick, their core for the future will be set. Ollie has experience working with young players, and could be just the right guy for the job if the Lakers could sway him to leave Connecticut.

However with the job that he is doing with Connecticut, it might be hard to pry him away from a program where he has job security for a long time.
