6) Atlanta Falcons – Thomas Dimitroff

At one point, the Atlanta Falcons appeared to have their general manager. In 2008, Atlanta hired Thomas Dimitroff to run the show and he did a terrific job in the early going, coaxing three playoff appearances out of the club including a pair of No. 1 seeds. However, the team did not reach the Super Bowl and the cracks in the foundation began to show. Dimitroff was able to draft Matt Ryan in the 2008 first round but since then, has endured trouble in the draft outside of his massive land of Julio Jones.

The main problem has been letting the offensive line go completely to hell, while the defense got old and became completely ineffective. In the mean time, head coach Mike Smith was never suited for the position, leaving Atlanta outcoached on a weekly basis. Atlanta started out hot this season but after a 5-0 beginning, has lost seven of eight.

It also appears owner Arthur Blank is ready for his next disaster, hiring Scott Pioli to be Dimitroff’s assistant. Did Blank miss Pioli’s train wreck in Kansas City? Pioli was laughably bad, putting together the combination of Matt Cassel and Romeo Crennel. Atlanta should be very, very scared.
