Unfortunately, they faced a talented and motivated Vikings team that is in contention for a NFC North title or a Wild Card berth.

Early in the third quarter the Vikings were up 24-7 and this game was pretty much already in the books, but it didn’t stop them from pouring it on. The Bears defense couldn’t do anything to stop Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who had five touchdowns. Bridgewater threw more touchdowns (four) than he had incompletions (three).

Stefon Diggs also had a big day with two touchdown catches.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was his usual self, completing 26 of 37 passes for 231 yards. He did have two touchdowns, but also threw an interception. Cutler also fumbled the ball to give him two turnovers on the day. He was also sacked five times, making it nearly impossible for him to perform well enough to get the Bears the win.

At 5-9 the Bears season is soundly over and they’ll finish below .500. But the silver lining might be a better draft pick so they can try and get back on the winning track.
. (5-9). Previous: . chicago bears
