(4-10). Previous: . dallas cowboys. 27. team. 123.
Saturday was a tough day to be a Cowboy. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone took a butt whooping from Rafael dos Anjos in UFC on FOX 17. And then the Dallas Cowboys gave up a fourth quarter lead to the New York Jets to fall, 19-16, in a particularly ugly contest.

The Matt Cassel Experience lasted not even two quarters, as he was benched in favor of the immortal Kellen Moore. Cassel was a putrid 3-for-8 for 37 yards and an interception. Moore was less, going 15-for-25 with a touchdown but three interceptions.

No receiver had more than 50 yards, and outside of Darren McFadden the team was inept on offense. Speaking of McFadden, he had 100 yards of rushing on 16 carries, which is about the only thing that the Cowboys can hang their hats on.

Bottom line, this team sucks. They play the Bills and Redskins in the final two weeks of the season, and while that would be a positive for probably 30 other teams in the NFL, it’s not for Dallas. They’re looking up at nearly everyone at this point.

When Tony Romo went down the team and fans thought they had merely lost their quarterback. As it turns out, he was also the team’s heart, soul and lifeblood.
