T- Joe Thomas

One of the people that Manziel has had around him is tackle Joe Thomas. Thomas has been the rock of the Browns offensive line since he was drafted back in 2007.  Thomas has three years left on his deal and isn’t getting any younger and is still productive. He should find a new place to play as well next season.

Thomas was almost dealt before the deadline this season, but a deal with the Denver Broncos ended up falling through. Thomas is still among the best tackles in the game and the Browns should look to capitalize on that. They can then move this year’s first round pick, Cameron Erving, back to the outside.

Thomas is set to make $9.5 million next season and then $10 million the following two seasons. For a team with cap space, looking to upgrade their offensive line, Thomas would be a great fit.

It may be an unpopular decision in Cleveland, however, the team is so far from contention, that it may be best to cash in one of your best assets to help accelerate your rebuilding process.

All five of the players mentioned could benefit from new homes. Whether it’s to get out of a bad situation due to scheme or playing time or lack of talent surrounding them, it’s time for a change. Whether all five of them find new homes in 2016 remains to be seen.
