High Salary C

Nathan MacKinnon – Colorado Avalanche ($7,900): MacKinnon has six points in his last ten games. Not ideal, but he’s likely going to be very active tonight going against the Sharks in what should be a game with a lot of goals. He has 21 shots on goal in his last ten games, which is promising. He hasn’t scored a goal in his last 14 outings. He’s way too good for that to continue for much longer. He has 30 points in 36 games. He averages 3.5 fantasy hockey points per game.

Steven Stamkos – Tampa Bay Lightning ($9,400): Stamkos had been struggling this season until his latest ten game stretch. He has nine points in his last ten games and five goals in his last four games. That’s the Steven Stamkos that fans are used to seeing. He’s finally looking dominant again and he’s going against a team that is currently melting down (the Canadiens). He has 20 shots on goal in his last four games. He averages 3.2 fantasy points per game.

Nicklas Backstrom – Washington Capitals ($7,100): It’s about time that Backstrom start costing more than $7,000. He has 10 points in his last ten games and 31 points in 31 games this season for the best team in the Eastern Conference. He has 17 shots on goal in his last ten games. Look for him to have a big night tonight against the Sabres. He averages 3.7 fantasy points per game.

High Value C

Evgeny Kuznetsov – Washington Capitals ($6,500): Kuznetsov has seen a recent price increase on FanDuel (and righfully so). He is tied for the Capitals lead in points with 31 points in 34 games. He only has five points in his last ten games but he has been doing a lot of things right. I like him tonight against the Sabres. They’ve had trouble with quick centers and dear goodness is Kuznetsov quick. He averages 3.7 fantasy points per game.

Ryan O’Reilly – Buffalo Sabres ($5,500): O’Reilly is a fantastic value on FanDuel. He has 32 points in 35 games so far this season. Even going against the Capitals, he’s still a great option for your fantasy hockey team because of his low price. He has 12 points in his last ten games. He averages 3.5 fantasy points per game.

Joe Thornton – San Jose Sharks ($5,400): Thornton has been playing quite well as of late. He has seven points during his current five game point streak. He should rack up some assists tonight against the Avalanche. He averages 2.7 fantasy points per game.
