45.
The Denver Broncos are riding the Brock Osweiler bus for now. The young quarterback has been inconsistent of late, but there’s no reason to lose faith in him. The defense is carrying this team for the time being, which isn’t too big of an issue. They have some real stars in both the secondary and front seven who can shut down the game at will.

In Gary Kubiak’s offense though, having a strong running presence give you a strong advantage, so having getting an elite running back should be a priority for John Elway. CJ Anderson and Ronnie Hillman have also proven to be inconsistent, so they can not rely on them moving forward.

Instead, Denver selects the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry from Alabama. We have all seen the type of show Henry can put on the football field and it is certainly something special. He is a powerful runner who give you the efficiency and consistency you love to see in an NFL running back. Excellent vision and the ability to hit the hole just make him that much better.

Broncos fans would love to get a running back in the first round, so walking away with a Heisman trophy winning one doesn’t sound too bad.

Previous Pick: Derrick Henry, RB
.
