Round 2: Michael Thomas, WR (Ohio State)

One of the best ways to get more athletic and better talent on a team is to address the skills position. Going with Jalen Ramsey in the first round of the draft, means that the Chargers are adding a rangy defensive back that can play anywhere and have a superstar impact.

With the second pick of the draft, the Chargers need to add more young offensive weapons and that pick should be Ohio State wide receiver Michael Thomas.

With Malcolm Floyd set to retire, the Chargers are going to need to add their next young receiver with great potential in the draft.

Ohio State wide receiver Michael Thomas is one of those receivers that has the penchant for making the big play and bringing down the impossible catch.

When the San Diego Chargers were at their best around Philip Rivers, they had a team of great receivers that could catch the ball and make big plays in a variety of ways. Pairing Thomas with Keenan Allen would give the Chargers two young, quality receivers that the team could depend on for a long time.

It would also make their franchise quarterback’s job a lot easier, which is always a good thing.
