High Value PG

Jordan Clarkson-Los Angeles Lakers (5,300):  In an unusual turn of events, there is going to be plenty of Lakers in my DraftKings daily picks for today since they’ll offer value hosting the Suns who gave up a blistering 142 points to the Kings yesterday afternoon.  Clarkson is the first Laker out of the gate as he could be in line for more minutes and a larger role in the offense if Kobe is unable to play (questionable-shoulder). Regardless of Kobe’s status, though, Clarkson has been playing well enough to merit consideration with double-digit scoring in nine of his last ten games and at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last three games.  The Suns allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG and the ninth-most to opposing SG, so whichever backcourt slot Clarkson is playing in he’s worth a look on this Sunday night against the Suns. ∗∗∗∗∗

Jameer Nelson-Denver Nuggets (5,400): Nelson had a big game last night, but he did play over 40 minutes for the third time in his last four games.  He scored 20 points to go with eight rebounds and seven assists against the Warriors finishing with 40.5 fantasy points.  He had almost that many (34.25 fantasy points) earlier this week against the Blazers when he had 14 points, eight assists, and three rebounds against Portland.  As the Nuggets visit the Blazers tonight, he’s a safe pick as long as his legs aren’t shot from his heavy workload over the past week.

Ramon Sessions-Washington Wizards (4,100): If you have to go under 5K for your PG spot, one good option to check out is Ramon Sessiosn who has been contributing solid numbers off the bench for the Wizards.  Sessions has at least nine points in each of his last six games and has totaled 22 fantasy points or more in each of those six outings.  Sessions is a low-cost, reliable play whose only downside is the Heat’s solid defending of opposing PG.
