High Salary SG

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (8,100): McCollum has been one of the most improved players of the season and has been carrying the Blazers while his backcourt mate Damian Lillard has been sidelined.  McCollum has scored at least 29 points in each of his last three games and has played big minutes, but Portland has had the last two days off so he should be relatively fresh despite his recent big numbers.

McCollum has at least 30 fantasy points in eight straight games and at least 52 in two of his last three.  He scored 29 points in the Blazers win over Denver last Wednesday, and he’ll look to take it to the Nuggets again tonight since they allow the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing SG. Whether Lillard returns or not, McCollum is so locked in right now he has to be owned in virtually all formats especially at a price under 9K.

Will Barton-Denver Nuggets (7,300): On the other side of that matchup, Will the Thrill continues to produce great numbers coming off then bench for Denver.  He is a mainstay of my Draftkings daily picks even though he isn’t as much of a value steal as he used to be.  He played a massive 50 minutes last night against the Warriors scoring 21 points to go with 13 rebounds, seven assists, and a pair of steals.  His 51.25 fantasy points gave him three straight contests with at least 43 fantasy points and continued his run of massive production.  There is definitely a chance that the Nuggets are just out of gas after last night’s OT loss to Golden State, but they played the Blazers competitively last week when Barton had 44 fantasy points scoring 31 points to go with five rebounds, four assists, and a steal.  The Blazers allow the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing SG, so Barton is still a good play even though fatigue does need to be a concern.
