Memphis. Paxton Lynch. 2. player. 53.
What’s that old adage about insanity: it’s making the same mistake over and over again and expecting different results. Well here we are with the Cleveland Browns searching for quarterback for the 17th year in a row, likely under another new regime.

All heads have rolled in Cleveland, and there will be a brand new coaching crew and front office. They will look to whitewash any of the bad juju from the Mike Pettine-Ray Farmer slop fest.

Paxton Lynch was on about .001% of the radars to begin the 2015 season, but after his Memphis Tigers pulled out a strong performance, including a dominant win over Ole Miss, he shot right into national consciousness.

Lynch is a big dude – 6’7 and 245lbs – and has the look that will make any teams in need of a quarterback drool. He stands tall in the pocket, can rifle the ball and can present problems with his legs – he’s not a dual-threat quarterback, but still has wheels.

It’ll be up to the Browns to decide whether Lynch is the player who tossed 28 touchdowns to only three interceptions throughout the regular season, or the guy who barely showed up for the Birmingham Bowl in a loss to Auburn.

There are other talented quarterbacks in the draft – Connor Cook, Jared Goff – but Cleveland goes with the biggest of the bunch in Lynch.
.
