San Francisco 49ers. 30. team. 42.
So, yeah, the first year without Jim Harbaugh did not go so swimmingly for the San Francisco 49ers. Actually, for the most part, it was a complete disaster. Following their Week 17 win on Sunday over the St. Louis Rams, the team finished the 2015 regular season at just 5-11, something they’re not all that used to as of late.

Throughout the entire season this team was just all over the place. One of the more renowned quarterbacks over the course of the past few seasons, Colin Kaepernick took some serious steps back, and was even benched for, of all people, Blaine Gabbert. Once Kaepernick hit the bench, it was pretty clear that things were just completely out of hand with this team.

Because of the horrible season, Jim Tomsula lost his job after just one season at the helm, so some huge changes will be coming for this organization over the course of the offseason.

There’s no telling what those changes will be as of yet, but there’s no question that they need to be some big ones. Aside from the likely head coaching change, there are a lot of personnel moves that need to be made on both sides of the ball.

Now that their regular season is over, getting to work on all of this needs to start ASAP.
.
