49. . 10-6. 2nd NFC North. Green Bay Packers. B-. player

When Jordy Nelson went down with a torn ACL in the preseason, many people though that the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers wouldn’t feel the loss too greatly, that they were talented enough offensively outside of Nelson to not really miss a beat. As the 2015 regular season wore on, it became abundantly clear that wasn’t the case.

Even with the Packers making it into the postseason and having a berth locked up going into Week 17, it’s hard to say that they were all that impressive in the scope of the 2015 NFL season. Rodgers and the offense struggled quite often as Eddie Lacy was almost non-existent as a running threat for most of the year and as the offensive line struggled to amply protect their quarterback or open holes for Lacy and James Starks. Moreover, their defense was mediocre at best, though they did step up in a big way late in the season to help carry them as the offense really struggled over the last several weeks of the regular season.

The Packers are in the playoffs and, with Rodgers, they are always going to be dangerous. However, it’s impossible to deny that their performance this season was disappointing in the context of what you expect to see from Green Bay with all of the talent and big-named players that they have on the roster. They don’t get a bad grade, but the fact that they’re the Packers and looked so unimpressive at times this year keeps them from getting close to a top grade.
