8-8. 2nd AFC South. Indianapolis Colts. F. player. 46.

The Indianapolis Colts finished the 2015 regular season with an 8-8 record and, though the chances were slim, with an outside shot at making the playoffs going into the final week of the season. Given the fact that Andrew Luck was injured and missed the second half of the season, the fact that they were still in the playoff hunt was remarkable. However, I still have this season as an absolute failure for the Colts.

Coming into 2015, there were many analysts and fans that had Indianapolis pegged as the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl out of the AFC. Granted, that assumed that the Colts would have Luck healthy for the entire 2015 season, but don’t forget just how terrible this team looked when Luck was still suiting up. The Colts went 2-5 with Luck as the starter and even that seemed like they were overachieving considering how poorly they were playing.

Though injuries obviously played a major factor, this Colts team went from Super Bowl contender to missing out on the division title in one of the weakest divisions in football. Even if Luck had been healthy, that likely would have still been the case for this team given their underperforming offense and terrible defense. With how short they fell of expectations, saying that Indy was anything but a failure would be a lie.
