The Seahawks can indeed come out with the win in Super Bowl 50.

There are ways to lose games and the are ways to LOSE games. The Seattle Seahawks lost Super Bowl XLIX in one of the most gut-wrenching ways you could possibly lose a game. The Seahawks managed to get the ball down to the New England Patriots‘ one-yard line. Marshawn Lynch got them there on a couple of runs, but Pete Carroll and Darrell Bevell decided to throw the ball. Malcolm Butler picked it off and it was over.

The Seahawks would not repeat.

Flash forward to 2015 and the Seahawks were a very un-Seattle like 2-4 in their first six games. Lynch wasn’t playing well. The defense was struggling. Russell Wilson wasn’t playing well either and there was talk if he was more concerned about being a celebrity than being a quarterback.

Oh, how things can change in the NFL.

The Seahawks finished 8-2 the rest of the way, taking home a Wild Card spot. All you have to do is get in the dance and anything can happen after that. Just ask the New York Giants or the Pittsburgh Steelers, who won the Super Bowl as a Wild Card team.

The playoffs just seem a bit more wide open than they have in recent years. If I told you that the Seahawks and Patriots would meet again in Super Bowl 50, would it be that surprising? If I told you the Seahawks lost to the Vikings, would that surprise you?

The Seahawks’ ride for a third straight Super Bowl appearance begins Sunday. Here are five reasons they can win it all again.
