51.
The Baltimore Ravens and Ozzie Newsome stock up for the future as many of their star players will return from injury next season.

The St. Louis Rams on the other hand are once again stuck in mediocrity. They have quickly learned that giving Nick Foles $24 million over the next two years was a horrible decision, but they can get out of his deal easily after next season. Fortunately enough they got an extra second round pick out of the Foles/Bradford trade with Philadelphia, so trading up now makes sense as far as having future assets set towards building up the team.

With relocation to Los Angeles still in the cards, Jeff Fisher and company trade up to take the best quarterback in this years draft, Jared Goff. The California kid wowed scouts last week against Air Force when he threw for six touchdowns and broke multiple records along the way. Most impressive was the PAC-12 single season touchdown record (43), breaking Marcus Mariota’s record after just one year.

Aside from the strong stats, Goff has all the classic tools and looks of an NFL quarterback. First off, he can lead receivers with great strength behind the football. Secondly, he has learned how to read defenses much quicker than others. This makes him even more desirable for a rebuilding NFL team looking for minimum headaches. A great pick for the Rams as they look toward the future early in this draft.

Previous Pick: Connor Cook, QB
. Quarterback. Cal. Jared Goff. 6. player
