High Salary C

Andre Drummond-Detroit Pistons (9,000): Drummond will cost you a lot to go with in the middle tonight, but he is one of the lowest-risk plays since he has a double-double in 30 of Detroit’s 34 games this season.  He tore up tonight’s opponent the Celtics when the teams met the day after Christmas finishing with 22 points and 22 rebounds on his way to 59.5 fantasy points. Drummond may not ultimately be worth his 9K price tag compared to some other center options, but he very rarely contributes less than 30+ fantasy points and has the potential to explode especially since the Celtics front court is unsettled right now.

DeAndre Jordan-Los Angeles Clippers (7,900): Jordan has been on his own double-double streak with five in his last five games including at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last two games against the suspect front courts of the Pelicans and the 76ers.  Jordan is in another good matchup tonight against Portland who has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers. Jordan averaged 15 points, 19.4 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in the two games he faced them earlier this season, and I think he’ll be ready to rebound the rock again tonight making him a nice way to close the day as LA goes for their seventh straight win.

Marcin Gortat-Washington Wizards (7,000): Gortat is another steady producer to consider at center as he goes for his seventh double-double in his last eight contests tonight against the Cavs.  Gortat has at least 31 fantasy points in each of his last nine games and went off for a huge game against the Kings with 27 points and 16 boards.  The upside is there, but there’s also little risk since he is such a steady option.
